Eagleheart is pleased to announce the completion of its residential-to-medical conversion for Glen Iris Medical Group. Completed in mid-June 2026, the project transformed an early 1900s residence into a purpose-built general practice clinic.
Glen Iris Medical Group officially welcomed patients to their new clinic on 3 August 2026, establishing it as the practice’s main full-service location. The new clinic is situated at 321 Wattletree Road, Malvern in Victoria, just a three-minute drive from the group’s original practice on Burke Road in Glen Iris.
From a Family Home to a Full-Service Medical Clinic
The four-bedroom residence was selected for its generous size block, substantial rear yard and dual parking options … all key features that made the property a good candidate for conversion into a medical space. The property’s prominent position on Wattletree Road also offers excellent street visibility and accessibility for patients, with a tram stop, nearby retail amenities and Cabrini Hospital all within walking distance.
The site is among a number of neighbouring properties that have all undergone similar conversions to medical consulting suites, further reinforcing the site’s suitability for healthcare use.
The process of converting the well established home into a compliant, high-performing medical clinic required careful planning. The design needed to preserve the property’s original facade and character while accommodating clinical workflows, accessibility requirements, patient privacy and the practical demands of a busy general practice.

Residential-to-Medical Conversion, with Heritage Overlay
The building in Malvern due to its age and historical significance, required a considered approach to its restoration, renovation and internal fitout. The project involved external repairs and maintenance in line with heritage guidelines, the removal of structures at the rear, a complete internal strip-out and full internal fitout. A substantial rear extension created space for two additional consulting rooms, while adjustments to the rear yard established additional rear parking for patients and staff.
The completed clinic now includes a spacious reception and waiting area, eight consulting rooms, large two-bed treatment room, nurses’ room, on-site pathology, administration, DDA-compliant amenities, a staff kitchen and break room.
The result is a contemporary, full-service medical clinic that retains the familiarity and character of the original residence while delivering the functionality, compliance and patient experience expected of a modern healthcare environment.
Eagleheart thanks Dr Pearl Mak, Dr Jane Healy and Dr Min Teo for entrusting our team with this significant project. We look forward to sharing further details on this project very soon.
