Deakin Health Hub is a purpose-built mental health precinct. The site offers private health and hospital services to patients in the ACT. In late 2023, Eagleheart completed the design and construction of the medical space for Think Mental Health.

The partners at Think Mental Health secured 500sqm on Level 2 of Deakin Health Hub. They had outgrown their existing clinic and made the decision to move to a much larger space to accommodate their immediate and future requirements.

The aim for their new, modern clinic was to provide dedicated consulting rooms for each of their psychologists and psychiatrists. In addition they wanted to offer patients access to a General Practitioner onsite.

The project at Think Mental Health commenced as a cold shell and was transformed into a light-filled and airy space. The large open reception and children’s play area uses soft pastel tones and accent lighting, to emit a warm and calming feeling.

The multiple waiting areas throughout, offer patients an added level of privacy, helping them feel at ease, whilst waiting for their appointment.

The design inspiration for the space was drawn from the company branding and corporate guidelines. Eagleheart’s in-house interior design team were able to combine the use of pastel green and salmon to emanate a feeling of positivity, energy, warmth, and light…. exactly what the client was looking for.

The fifteen counselling suites are stylishly decorated, and furnished in line with the demographic of their patients. Their staff benefit from secure access to their reception and administration wing, a large, fully equipped kitchen, separate amenities, and a large boardroom.

Think Mental Health has grown to a team of more than twenty staff, who provide a holistic and evidence-based approach to mental health services. They collaborate across disciplines and can now offer the Canberra community a central hub, for their mental health needs.
