Clyde North Dental opened in December 2022 offering patients general dental care. The practice offers a calm and gentle approach for patients seeking general or children’s dentistry. The practice owners began their journey with Eagleheart in mid-2022. They were seeking the services of a medical fit out company in Melbourne who could offer them full design and construction of their dental fit out.
The goal of the practice owners was to create a foundation for their dental clinic that would complement their approach to patient care – one of compassion, understanding, and a gentle touch.
Engaging Eagleheart for construction of their dental clinic, allowed the practice owners to achieve a space that is truly unique. Our team provided them with a revised floorplan that was able to optimise workflow and make better use of their compact, 105sqm space.
Eagleheart was able to incorporate into the design, a spacious waiting room and reception, three dental surgeries, OPG room, sterilisation room, admin office and a staff tearoom.
The reception and waiting area design has an intentional, non-dental feel. This space offers the comfort of bench seating, with soft lighting, curves, and textured materials creating ambiance within the space. The addition of aromatherapy diffusers and candles help to promote a sense of calm at a time when patients may feel anxious about their dental appointment.
Eagleheart worked in collaboration with the practice owners on the general dental fitout, and incorporated their preferences into the design of their dental suites and sterilisation room. These areas are nice and bright, with the positioning of dental chairs and surgical equipment offering ample space for staff and patients.
The purpose built cabinetry and storage cupboards are within easy reach of their main work area and the ceiling mounted television offers a welcome distraction for patients during their check-up. They can watch TV or listen to music through noise cancelling headphones, whilst being comfortably seated in the dental chair.
Dentistry that focuses on a kind, gentle approach, not only reduces patient stress and anxiety, but also encourages patients to return for their next scheduled appointment.
Clyde North Dental is located within the Selandra Rise Estate in Clyde North, Victoria. The residential estate focuses on the life, health, and wellbeing of their residents and was named Victoria’s best master planned development in the prestigious 2016 UDIA Awards for Excellence.
