Congratulations to Lumus Imaging on the successful relocation of their Glenroy clinic. Located in Melbourne’s northern suburbs, the 700sqm radiology clinic is located within the former Glenroy library building and has been reimagined into a state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging clinic. The site is protected under a heritage overlay with our team tasked with ensuring the building’s local character has been preserved.
The building was constructed in 1970 and designed by Harry Winbush. He is attributed to the design of many buildings across Melbourne; including the famous ‘Windy Hill’, former home ground for Essendon football club.
Transition of their Glenroy Clinic into a Repurposed Site
The delivery of a complex radiology clinic within a heritage-listed building, requires careful design planning and consideration. The integration of specialised equipment and infrastructure, was thoroughly thought through to ensure compliance within the preservation constraints of the site. In this project Lumus Imaging was specific on their workflow and design requirements for the space with a focus on patient flow, accessibility, and staff efficiency.
About The Radiology Fitout at Glenroy
The new clinic for Lumus Imaging Glenroy has allowed the site to expand on their capabilities. The clinic now offers MRI, as well as CT, ultrasound, X-ray, OPG, DEXA and interventional radiology services, within a highly functional and patient centric environment. The also support the overflow of medical imaging requirements of nearby public and private hospitals.
From the team at Eagleheart, we thank the management and operations staff at Lumus Imaging for entrusting Eagleheart with the construction of their latest clinic.
